Most people who walk into a boudoir session aren't models. They don't arrive knowing what to do with their hands, how to stand, or which side of themselves photographs best.
That's our job.
We direct the details, from posture and expression to movement, light and the little adjustments that completely change a photograph. You get to settle in, experiment and decide how far you want to take it.
Some sessions are soft. Some are dark. Some are playful. Some get a little dangerous.
None of them have to look like anyone else's.

Your experience includes pre-session planning, professional hair + makeup, up to two hours of photography, guided posing, signature editing and a private online gallery.

A boudoir session shouldn't come with an assumption that your photographs belong on our Instagram.
They don't.
Your comfort with sharing is something we discuss separately. Some clients are excited to let us publish their photographs. Others want every image to remain completely private.
Both choices are completely normal.
The experience is yours first. The portfolio is ours second.

Two Photographers. One Very Private Room.
We're Katarzyna and Yuma Amador, the husband-and-wife team behind Naniu Studio.
Photography has been our work for years, but boudoir asks something different of a photographer. Technical skill matters. So does knowing when to direct, when to back off, when to make somebody laugh and when the room needs to get quiet.
That's the part we care about most.
Yuma studied Film and Broadcasting at Tribeca Flashpoint Media Arts Academy. Katarzyna began photography part-time in 2017 and joined him full-time in 2018. Together they host boudoir workshops on posing, lighting and framing.

Boudoir by Naniu Studio serves clients throughout Knoxville, Farragut, Maryville, Alcoa, Oak Ridge and surrounding East Tennessee.
We also photograph destination sessions in Sevierville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mountains, including couples, anniversary and private-location sessions.

The Questions You Google When Nobody's Watching.
Do I have to be naked?
No. Boudoir can mean lingerie, an oversized shirt, a bodysuit, sheets, a dress, implied nude or absolutely no nudity at all. We decide the boundaries before and during the session.
What if I have no idea how to pose?
Perfectly normal. We direct you throughout the session, including your hands, posture, expression and movement.
What if I don't feel sexy?
You don't need to. You aren't taking a confidence test before you're allowed into the studio.
Can my photographs stay private?
Yes. We discuss image-sharing permissions separately so you can decide what, if anything, may be shown publicly.
How much does boudoir photography cost in Knoxville?
Boudoir by Naniu Studio collections begin at $1,950 and include planning, professional hair + makeup, up to two hours of photography, guided posing, signature editing and private gallery access.
What should I wear?
Whatever makes sense for the version of yourself you want photographed. That could be lingerie, a bodysuit, a robe, a button-down shirt, denim, stockings, a dress or something we haven't thought of yet.
Am I too old for boudoir?
No. Boudoir isn't reserved for one age or one kind of body.
Can couples book a boudoir session?
Absolutely. Couples boudoir is available and can range from romantic and understated to more intimate editorial work.
Do you photograph bridal boudoir?
Yes. Bridal boudoir can be created as a wedding gift or simply as part of the bride's own experience.
Do you photograph in Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains?
Yes. Destination sessions are available throughout the Smoky Mountains area, including Gatlinburg, Sevierville and Pigeon Forge.
